If your PS4 is not switching on this is usually just a problem with the power supply itself. The power supply can usually blow due to a power surge or lightning damage.
Not all the power supplies are the same in all the PS4 models, so we will need to know what model your PS4 console is, it’s usually on the bottom cover of the console, or on the newer Slim or Pro models it’s usually between the two layers close the where you plug in the power cable.
Power Supply Faulty Symptoms
If your PS3 is not switching on at all even if you push the eject button or the power button and it doesn’t even make a beep sound, this is usually just the power supply itself.
If you switch the PS4 on and it does come on for a a second or two and also just goes off again this is also usually just the power supply.
Symptoms That Might Not Be Power Supply
If you switch the PS4 on and it comes on and just doesn’t show any picture on the screen, this could either be what we call the White Light Of Death or the Blue Light Of Death.
The difference between the two is if the PS4 comes on and the light on the PS4 just changes to whit and gives no picture, this is the White Light Of Death Problem.
If it comes on and the light goes to blue and doesn’t give any picture, this is the Blue Light Of Death Problem.
